These questions come from the opening FAQ section of the Landcare Australia Master and Groups brand guidelines. They keep brand governance visible beside the design tokens and artefact templates.

Who can use the generic Landcare logo?

Landcare Australia only can use the generic Landcare caring hands logo. It is used for campaigns and promotional activity where Landcare Australia is working with other landcare organisations to promote the work of landcarers.

Who can use the Landcare Australia logo?

Landcare Australia only can use the Landcare Australia logo or allow third-party use. It can licence the logo to government, corporate, or philanthropic partners where a contractual agreement is in place. Any use must be approved by Landcare Australia.

Who can use state-specific Landcare logos?

State or territory Landcare logos can only be used by the relevant Landcare peak body. They may be used for promotional purposes by that body, but not for commercial or advocacy purposes unless Landcare Australia gives prior written agreement.

Who can request a Landcare, Coastcare, or Junior Landcare group logo?

Environmental community groups involved in landcare activities can request a Landcare, Coastcare, or Junior Landcare logo with their group name. Groups register on the National Landcare Directory and update their details there when needed.

Who can issue Landcare group logos?

Landcare Australia only can create and supply a Landcare group logo. This protects the integrity of the brand and helps prevent inappropriate use.

Do groups need to pay for a Landcare group logo?

No. Landcare Australia creates logo packs, monitors logo use, and manages the brand as a complimentary service to the landcare community. Government, corporate, or philanthropic organisations require a licensing agreement.

Can groups change their Landcare group logos?

No. Groups cannot make changes to their logo. If a group needs a change, it must contact Landcare Australia, which will make the change and provide a new logo pack.

Can groups change the colour of the Landcare group logo?

No. Logo colours are controlled by strict brand guidelines and must not be changed.

Can groups place anything else within the caring hands logo?

No. The logo can only include the group name and the caring hands. Animals, words, symbols, or other content must not be added.

Can the caring hands be used on their own?

No. The caring hands must only be used as part of a logo that includes a group name. They are a trademark of Landcare Australia and must not be used by themselves.

Can groups use the old Landcare logo?

No. The old Landcare logo was refreshed in 2010. Groups are expected to phase out use of the pre-2010 logo.

What happens if a group misuses the Landcare logo?

If a group misuses a Landcare logo or does not follow the brand guidelines, Landcare Australia will contact the group and explain why the logo cannot be used that way.

Can businesses use the Landcare group logo?

No. Business use of Landcare logos is managed through Landcare Australia partnerships and licensing agreements.

How can a business use a Landcare logo to promote Landcare or its support?

A business must have a contractual agreement with Landcare Australia. Even with an agreement, the organisation must seek permission before using the logo.
